Impulses are only “fleeting” vibrations; they stimulate a reply to a particular stimulant.
An impulse can be compared to a physical stimulant: the desire to eat, drink, sleep and so on.
The body complies with these desires without the energetic part intervening; that part that interacts with the more “ evolved” vibrations, the ones that give the Energy the way of enriching itself or hold back or become impoverished.
For example: in the animal the hunger impulse is satisfied without reasoning being involved, so the animal feeds himself knowing instinctively what is right or wrong for him.
In the human being this behaviour is considered bestial.
Often however, the hunger impulse in the individual follows a sequence of thoughts: is it the right time to eat now? Will it be good or bad for me? Will it make me fat or thin? Shall I set the table or eat standing up? And so on.
If the individual responds “wisely” to all this reasoning prompted by the hunger impulse, and decides with “Love” what is best for him, then the Energy emits a positive vibration because the decision is “wise”
This is the difference between animals and us: the animal satisfies its impulses by Instinct, which comes from automatic information that he cannot, or knows not how to oppose. The human being, gifted with the power of reasoning, and above all free will, satisfies his impulses involving the Energy too.
When the human being reaches “energetic perfection” it will act like the animal with a secure Instinct: he knows what is right or wrong for himself and acts accordingly.
Of course the difference is fundamental because in the human being there is a perfect, conscious adherence to himself, while in the animal, everything is unconscious.
