Let us now relax and imagine that we are lying down.
The place we are in is uncomfortable, beneath us there are stones, it is damp and cold……..we feel uneasy.
Who has put us in this situation?
Why have we chosen a place like this to relax in?
We don’t know why.
The discomfort grows.
The unease grows.
We must do something.
We stand up, we stagger, the stones are too uneven and we lose our balance.
We crouch down, we want to leave this stony, inhospitable place.
We crawl, dragging ourselves along.
We continue mentally to ask ourselves, who is it that has put us in this place, who chose it and why?
We move onwards, panting and so tired.
Suddenly we fall asleep.
We wake up on a soft mattress, we are very comfortable, we feel good: it was all a dream.
We are very relieved, we like the position we are in now.
Everything around us reciprocates with Joy, Positiveness and Cheerfulness.
Very slowly we forget the dream too.
We look around: it is a lovely day and the well-being inside of us grows.
A thought however is coming back: who wanted me to be on those stones?
Who chose that place for me? Why was I there?
Just this thought can cancel the magic of the day. Then we remember that it was only a dream, so we put it aside.
We enjoy what we are doing, Life is flowing serenely, the pleasant encounters we have with others, everything is fine………. Then that disturbing thought returns: what did the dream want to tell me?
Why did I dream about being so uneasy and uncomfortable? Who wanted to put me on those stones?
Once again the day becomes gloomy. This time we do not remove the thought: we want to understand it.
We have to understand that we are ruining our Life, ruining the Here and Now for a dream, for something we cannot change, that is not REAL, for which there is no explanation.
However, the Reality that we live in NOW exists, but not in Harmony as it is obscured by the thought of us on those stones.
The meaning of the dream is this: even the most difficult things can be overcome, we can remove them just like the memory of that dream. We must not keep on thinking about it, the dream is not part of the Here and NOW.
The pain and effort we experienced in that dream, has shown us that we have the strength to overcome obstacles, and the unease caused by them. We gave up because we were overwhelmed with tiredness and we fell asleep.
After this we woke up: joyful and pleasant with all the pain gone.
The dream only meant this: live with Intensity Here and Now.
The Here and Now of the dream was the fatigue, the Here and Now of being awake is Joy.
We are both fatigue and Joy: we are everything, but we must take from the Whole what makes us feel good; it is ridiculous to search for fatigue in a Joyful moment, and so contaminate the Joy.
In a moment of Joy, when we remember the pain and fatigue, we must remember too, that it stopped when we gave in.
Surrender to Life.
Allow yourselves to flow in the stream of Joy, of Awareness, because this journey of ours must be a conscious one, and we must plant Awareness deeply within us, and not contaminate it with negative thoughts.
