Before tackling the question of the multiplicity of the Self, we must try to understand exactly what the Self is.
By this we mean the most profound part that is within every human being, the part that speaks through the Instinct, the primordial part that holds all the information, and most of all the part that has nothing to do with rationality.
Very often it is the Self that urges us into taking action, and behave in a way that is the opposite of what rationality is suggesting.
Why do I speak of the multiplicity of the Self?
Because the human being does not have only one body, therefore he cannot have only one Self.
There is the astral body, the emotional body, the psychic…….seven bodies that all have their own Self.
These seven bodies are part of the human being just as if he wore seven sets of clothes one on top of the other. Each one of these has its own Self.
Even the body defined as astral has a “form”, and sends information to the astral field.
The Self is intended as Essence. Every body around the individual has this Essence, consequently every body has its Self.
All this must not confuse you, neither must it stimulate the wish to analyze the Self, but simply to raise an awareness in the human being to the impulses, sensations and urges that he cannot explain with logic and rationality.
When the individual rationalistically thinks he must go in a certain direction and his Self is leading him in another direction, it is because the Self is giving him information that is not logical, only Instinctive. The person must not become confused, he must be silent, focus on himself, silence the Mind and accept the advice, suggestions and urges of his inner Self that is manifested through the Instinct.
If we think that we only have one Self we reduce everything to the most primitive Self.
Of course this is always more evolved than the Mind, but not enough to have the information that only the other Selfs have, as they are in contact with other dimensions.
When the individual is convinced that he is a multi dimensional being, he will easily understand why certain sensations/emotions are inexplicable.
Often we are at the mercy of events that are impossible to control: often passions and obsessive thoughts take possession of the human being and however hard he tries he cannot rid himself of them.
Why does all this happen? Because one of the Self is urging towards something contrary to rationality, even contrary to what the individual is experiencing at that moment on Earth.
This happens because that tenacious Self “comes” from parallel dimensions.
When these Selfs are not in harmony there can be enormous consequences, even of a psychiatric nature.
